Description

This is a traditional churchyard cross located 10 metres south of the church in Farringdon, dating from the mid-19th century. The cross features a stone shaft topped with a cross, which is set above a gable and a three-cusped arch. The arms of the cross are chamfered and transition into a tapered octagonal shaft that displays a series of raised floral motifs. The circular base of the shaft has widening mouldings and sits on an octagonal platform with three steps.
