Description

Springhead is a 15th-century timber-framed house, extended in the 17th century and subsequently altered and refaced during the 18th and 19th centuries, with further additions to the west in the 19th century. The original timber framing, with red brick infilling, is visible in a small section at the northeast corner. The rest of the house has a coursed stone facade with galletting, red brick dressings, and quoins. The roof is tiled and hipped. The windows are casement windows. A gabled, rustic wooden porch is located on the east front. The house is one storey and has an attic, with three windows and three gabled dormers, plus one gabled bay.
