Description
The Joseph Booth Memorial and its railings are located approximately 4 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Luke. This memorial, a chest tomb, commemorates Joseph Booth, who died in 1830. It is constructed from ashlar stone and features side panels adorned with fluted corner fans and a central oval fleuron. The memorial is supported by fluted corner pilasters that have console brackets, and it has a moulded base and cornice. Surrounding the tomb are cast iron railings that include spear points, with urn-capped standards at each corner and in the centre of each side.
