Description
Spring House Farmhouse is an early 19th-century building, with parts dating from 1849. It is constructed of coursed gritstone and limestone, featuring gritstone dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and includes stone gable end stacks and stone coped gables. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has a double pile plan.
The south elevation has three main bays, with a lower single bay to the left. The central doorway is framed by a plain ashlar doorcase, with a 20th-century door and a rectangular overlight above. On either side of the doorway are glazing bar sashes, which have stone lintels and projecting sills. Above the doorway, there are three similar windows. The building is topped with a castellated parapet. The left-hand bay features a glazing bar sash on each floor. A datestone from 1848 is located above the back door.
