Description
The row of eleven statues along the Broad Walk dates from the early 19th century and was created for the Sixth Duke of Devonshire. These statues are made of sandstone ashlar and marble. Each statue stands on a sandstone ashlar plinth, which features moulded bases and caps, and is topped with marble statues that are inspired by ancient designs. The Gardens and Park where the statues are located are registered at Grade I for their historical significance.
