Description

The Grove Farmhouse is a 18th-century farmhouse located in Alstonefield. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and features a clay tile roof with coped verges. The building has hammer-dressed ashlar end stacks and a coursed and squared limestone rubble ridge stack positioned to the left of center. The farmhouse has an L-shaped plan and consists of two storeys and an attic. It has three windows, which include two lights with flat-faced mullions that contain casements, and French casements to the right. There is also a central gable attic dormer made of masonry.
