Description

The garden wall entrance attached to the southeast corner of Thornleigh Hall dates from 1691. It is constructed of coursed and dressed rubble with pitched coping. The wall stands approximately 2.0 meters high and extends about 4.0 meters in each direction. The entrance features a flat-arched and chamfered design on the southeast side, with a raised inscription above the initials "WA" set within a triangle. The coping has bases that remain for flanking finials.
