Description
These barns, located to the north of Rowlee Farmhouse, date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble gritstone, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins. The barns have a stone slate roof adorned with short finials at the gable ends and are two storeys high.
On the south elevation, from right to left, there is a later doorway and window. To the left, a small window and a doorway with stable-type doors are present. Following this, there are seven windows that are irregularly spaced, each fitted with small paned inward opening casements. The first floor includes one square window and two circular windows.
