Description
Goldstraw Cottage is a mid-18th century building located in the Market Place of Tideswell. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring plain gables and end stone ridge stacks, topped with a Welsh slated roof. The cottage has three storeys and two bays, with two-light flush mullioned windows on the first and second floors that have 19th-century casements. The south end of the ground floor includes sash windows, while there is 20th-century joinery at the altered opening on the north end. Coupled doorways are situated at the center, within a 20th-century lean-to porch that has a slated roof. The building is listed for its group value only.
