Description
Elliottholme Lodge is a lodge built around 1865 for the Duke of Rutland's Estate. It is constructed of limestone in diminishing courses and coursed sandstone, with ashlar sandstone dressings and a stone slate roof. The building has an L-shape, featuring an entrance in a gabled side wing on the left.
The lodge is a single storey with an attic and showcases large quoins, chamfered mullioned windows with leaded lights and hoodmoulds, shaped kneelers, and ashlar gable copings. The entrance, located in the side wing on the left, has a vertically-panelled door set in a triangular-headed surround with a hoodmould. The front gable on the right includes a 3-light window on the ground floor and a 2-light window on the first floor. There is an external stack at the angle with the wing to the right, featuring quoins offsets and twin flues of dressed sandstone linked by a cornice, along with a single-light window to the right. The right return has a gable with windows similar to those on the front, and the rear wing includes a stone porch and 2-light windows. The interior has not been inspected.
