Description
Yew Tree Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse constructed from deeply coursed, squared gritstone with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and features two windows on the first floor. A central panelled door is set in an ashlar surround and is sheltered by a rustic wood porch. On either side of the door, there are casement windows with square-faced surrounds and projecting sills, which are connected to the door surround by an ashlar band. The ground floor has a lintel band, and the first floor has a sill band that extends to two similar casements. The farmhouse also has stone gutter brackets and tall ashlar end stacks. There is a later addition set back to the right, which is not of special interest. The farmhouse is included in the listing mainly for its group value.
