Description
Bartin Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn built in the late 18th century, with the barn added in 1840. The buildings are constructed of finely coursed gritstone with ashlar dressings and feature stone slate roofs with coped gables and kneelers, along with a single gable stack. The farmhouse has a two-storey main front with an off-centre 19th-century doorway. To the left, there is an original doorway with a flush ashlar surround and an original two-light mullion window, both of which are now blocked. To the right, there is a blocked 19th-century window and an original doorway with a flush ashlar surround, also blocked. Above, there are two original three-light mullion windows. The north-east front has two similar two-light mullion windows on the upper floor. A small single-storey addition to the south-west connects to the attached barn. The barn, dated 1840, is made of coursed rubble with a stone slate roof and coped gables. It features a central segment-headed cart entrance with a dated keystone, a small doorway to the left in a flush ashlar surround, and a small window with a small surround above the arch.
