Description
Upperfold Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. The building features rendered walls and quoins, topped with a stone slate roof that has gable copings on moulded kneelers. A central ashlar stack is present. The farmhouse is two storeys high.
The original entrance, which is part blocked, has a Tudor arch with chamfered reveals. To the left of the entrance is an 8-light window that is double chamfered, with mullions and a transom. To the right was a similar window, but it has been altered to include only one recent centre mullion. There is a later doorway to the left. The first floor has five single light windows from the 19th century.
On the rear elevation, there is one 4-light and one 3-light double chamfered window, along with a small chamfered staircase window on the ground floor. The first floor also features five single light windows from the 19th century.
