Description
The netty or privy at High Close A Burn is an earth closet built in 1784 for F Crook. It is constructed from coursed local rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a stone slate roof. This single-storey, rectangular structure has ashlar quoins and a single pitched roof. The east entrance side includes a single doorway topped with a large stone lintel. One of the quoins bears the inscription "F Crook, 1784".
