Description
Smithy, built in the mid 19th century, is a single-storey structure made of coursed, squared stone with a pantile roof and brick stacks. It features a two-cell layout that includes both a smithy and a stable. The stable has a boarded door on the left, while the smithy entrance and a window are located to the right. At the rear, there is another boarded door to the stable, accompanied by a 12-pane sash window to the left. All openings have plain lintels. The gable wall on the right is coped, and there are stacks at one end and one left of centre. Inside, the smithy retains equipment installed by the owner's grandfather, which is still in use today. This includes two furnaces, each with hand-operated bellows, two anvils, and two water troughs.
