Description
The Church of All Saints is a parish church that was rebuilt in 1821 on a medieval site, incorporating some old masonry. It is constructed of coursed tooled sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof. The church includes a north tower-porch, a nave, and a chancel with a north vestry, all designed in a Tudor style with a Perpendicular east window. The tower has two stages and contains a restored Norman entrance arch with two chamfered orders, the outer order supported by shafts with rudimentary scalloped capitals, and a hoodmould above. There is a blank roundel above the arch, and below the bell stage, there is a band featuring paired round-arched openings. The eaves band and parapet are adorned with angle pyramids.
The three-bay nave has Tudor-arched sash windows with glazing bars and interlaced heads. The chancel is mostly blank except for a priest's door on the south side. The north vestry has a window similar to those in the nave, along with a small pent extension to the east.
Inside, the church is plastered and features an 1821 pulpit and box pews throughout. There is a plain round font of uncertain date. In the chancel, there are two earlier 14th-century effigies, which are notable for holding hearts in their hands and wearing armor with ailettes, a very rare feature.
