Description
Jackson's Bridge is a bridge built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed from herringbone-tooled stone and features a single span with a semicircular arch made of voussoirs. The bridge has a raised parapet band topped with a plain parapet and cambered coping. The parapet is swept out at both ends, ending in square, flat-topped piers with imposts.
On the parapet, there is a recessed stone panel that reads:

Nil Arduum Mortalibus Deo Juvante.
John Jackson, who was born in Lastingham in 1778 to a tailor, passed away in 1831.
