Description
Cherry Tree Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse that consists of two builds with later alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone and features a pantile roof with brick stacks. The layout follows a 3-cell hearth-passage plan and includes a rear service wing. The building is two storeys high on the left end, which has two windows, and 1½ storeys on the right end, which has a single window.
A 20th-century half-glazed door is located to the left of the low end, beneath an overlight. To the right, there is a squat 20-pane sash window with a heavy plain lintel, and a small pivoting window with glazing bars at the far right end, as well as in the attic. The high end features 20-pane sashes with raised keyblock lintels and a stepped eaves course.
On the left gable wall, there is a small 2-light casement window set in a chamfered mullion surround. At the rear, a continuous outshut at the low end has 2-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sashes. The building has coped gables, shaped kneelers, and end stacks at the high end, with a central stack on the right side of the low end.
