Description

This boundary stone, dating from the early 19th century, is located approximately 1700 meters south of Home Farmhouse in Hutton Lowcross. It is made of roughly dressed limestone and stands about 1 meter high with a square base measuring 30 centimeters on each side. The southwest face of the stone is inscribed with "T.K.S. 1815." It is situated on a cairn that marks the boundary between the former civil parishes of Hutton Lowcross and Newton, and this cairn is designated as a scheduled ancient monument, numbered 33.
