Description
The farm buildings located approximately ten metres northeast of Church Dale Farmhouse date from the early 19th century. They are constructed from herringbone-tooled sandstone and feature pantile roofs. The main structure is a 1½-storey, 4-bay range, which is flanked by 1-storey, 3-bay ranges that are positioned at right angles, creating the farmyard for Church Dale Farm.
The 1½-storey range includes board stable doors, with one located at the right end and two in the left part, all beneath herringbone-tooled lintels. The 1-storey ranges also have stable doors throughout. There is an inserted 4-pane window and a slatted opening beneath tooled lintels in the range to the right. The buildings feature coped gables and block kneelers. On the right return, there is a pitching doorway with a herringbone-tooled lintel in the barn gable end.
