Description
Arden Hall Gatepiers, located approximately 17 metres south of Arden Hall, date from the early 18th century and are constructed of sandstone ashlar. Each gatepier is about one metre square and stands 4 metres tall, featuring a pulvinated frieze and a moulded cornice. The owls on top of the gatepiers are the Savile emblem, indicating they were likely added after 1900, when the Savile family acquired the house. These gatepiers no longer support the original gate, which is now situated about 2 metres to the south between 19th-century gatepiers.
