Description
The icehouse located 60 meters south west of Palace Garage Cottages on the Beaulieu Manor Estate dates from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of yellow brick and measures 2 meters long and 2 meters high. The structure features a vaulted passage that leads into the side of a domed roof chamber, which has a diameter of 3.5 meters and a depth of approximately 3 meters, although it is currently filled with debris. The passage retains the remains of an outer door and shows signs of at least two inner doors.
