Description
This is a cottage dating from around the 1830s, constructed with stuccoed cob and featuring a thatched hipped roof with deep eaves and a brick axial stack at the apex. The building has a rectangular plan, with a large canted bay on the south front and outshuts at the rear and on the west side, characteristic of the Cottage Orne style.
The exterior is a single storey. The south front showcases a large canted bay to the left of centre, which includes 19th-century two-light casement windows with small panes; the top panes have Gothic pointed glazing bars, and there is a slate window sill. To the right of the bay, there is a doorway with a boarded door. A similar Gothic casement window is located on the east side. The thatched roof extends over the outshut at the rear, while the outshut on the west side features a slate lean-to roof and a boarded door at the front.
Inside, the cottage has vertically boarded timber partitions and ledged and panelled doors.
