Description

Staplewood Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, with a 20th-century extension. It features an exposed timber-frame structure with brick infill and other walling. The roof is thatched, hipped, and has lower eaves at each end, along with eyebrow dormers. The house has a lobby entrance form and consists of three bays with outshots, as well as a rear extension that matches the original style. The west front elevation has one storey and an attic, with three above five windows, all of which are casements. The entrance is marked by a boarded door.
