Description

Rothay Bridge is a structure built of slate using a dry stone walling technique. It features a single segmental arch with low flood arches on either side and has flat slate slabs forming the parapet. The exact date of construction is uncertain, and part of the bridge is located in the parish of Ambleside, while another part lies in Rydal and Loughrigg.
