Description

The barn located to the northeast of Whasdike Farmhouse is a grade II listed building, likely dating from the 18th century. It is a bank barn built parallel to the contours of the land, featuring a hay barn with a threshing floor and a fall-mow above a stable and shippon with stalls. The barn has rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof, which includes a canopy over the wagon door on the east side. There is a loop light in the south gable and a weather vane at the ridge. Inside, the barn has simple oak trusses and two levels of purlins. A later lean-to has been added on the west side.
