Description
Whasdike Farmhouse is a farmhouse that includes an attached shippon and hay and bracken lofts, all of which have been converted into a farmhouse. The rear of the building likely dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations, while the front is a mid-19th century addition. The exterior features roughcast render over stone rubble walls and a graduated greenslate roof, with two end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, which are 19th century sashes with glazing bars. There is a central gabled stone porch with a round-headed opening. Inside, the farmhouse contains old beams, a complete range and copper inserted into an inglenook with a chamfered beam, a flagged floor, and 18th century fireplaces that have been brought from elsewhere.
