Description

Dixion Ground Farmhouse and outbuilding is a farmhouse dating to the 18th century, with a slate datestone inscribed "IBM/1762". The farmhouse is roughcast and has slate roofs. It is two storeys high and comprises four bays, with the first two bays lower, originally functioning as stables. Dripstones are present above the ground floor windows. The house has sash windows with vertical glazing bars; the stables have smaller, fixed-pane windows on the ground floor. The entrance features a cast iron, decorative, gabled porch, with a datestone above featuring scrollwork. Gable-end stacks are visible on the house. At the rear of the house, a projecting second bay features a gabled dormer window, and a 12-panel door is present. A lean-to outshut is attached to the first bay. The interior includes a plank and muntin partition with fielded panels.
