Description
A barn, likely dating from the 18th century, stands to the northwest of Dixon Ground Farmhouse. The barn is constructed of stone rubble with a slate roof. The south-facing entrance has a pentice and pivoted doors, one of which is smaller and round-headed. A later gabled wing is attached to the right, with a lean-to projection at the angle. Inserted windows are visible to the left. The left side of the barn has an inserted, segmental-headed entrance and two dripcourses. The rear of the barn includes an outshut beneath a cat slide roof to the left of the pivoted barn doors, with a 20th-century shed adjoined to the right. Inside, the barn has collar and tie beam trusses.
