Description
The former gardener's house, located approximately 130 meters south of Wray Castle, dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of slate rubble and features a single-pitched slate roof that slopes to the rear. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with diagonal buttresses supporting its structure. There is a first-floor sill band and a top parapet, with projecting angles that include arrow slits adorned with iron dressings. The windows are casements; the ground floor windows have plaster panels below, which likely served as original entrances. The first-floor windows feature label moulds, and the window in the first bay has a small-paned casement. At the rear, there is an entrance with a gabled head and a window. The property is owned by the National Trust.
