Description
This building is a barn and outbuildings located to the east of Hole House, possibly dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and has a slate roof. The barn features an L-plan wing that runs parallel to Hole House, which includes an entrance with a timber lintel, a 2-light wooden mullioned window, and a pitching hole to the right. The left side has ventilation slots in the gable end, while the barn itself has pivoted doors and an outshut with a cat slide roof to the left, which includes a return entrance. The right side has blocked entrances, one of which is beneath a dripstone. The rear of the building has a 20th-century lean-to shed. Inside, there are tie beam trusses. The property is owned by the National Trust.
