Description

Robin Ghyll is a building dating from around 1700, possibly earlier. It features very thick stone rubble walls that are cement-rendered and has a slate roof. The building has two low storeys and an open timber porch that covers a glazed and panelled door. There are four windows on each floor, which are irregularly spaced and mostly consist of modern casements, with a slate dripstone above the ground floor. An upper window to the left is set in a small gable. At the rear, there are modern additions that are built into the hillside. Notably, the building was once home to Mrs. Humphrey Ward and G. M. Trevelyan.
