Description

Ashness Bridge is an 18th-century packhorse bridge that features a 19th-century parapet and a 20th-century widening. It is constructed from slate rubble and has a narrow single-span segmental hump-back design. The bridge is characterized by split-slate voussoirs, solid parapets, and rubble coping. It is located partly within the boundaries of Borrowdale Civil Parish.
