Description
Dennyhill is a house located in Bampton, built in 1742, with later additions. The exterior is roughcast with a slate roof. The north elevation features two storeys and four bays, with the first two bays being later additions. There is a drip course above the third and fourth bays. The windows are sashed with single glazing bars; however, the first bay has a light at ground level due to the slope of the ground, and there is no ground floor window in the second bay. A fire window is positioned to the left of the third bay. The entrance is located in the first bay, and there is a gabled porch between the third and fourth bays that has a half-glazed door. The house has cross-axial stacks and a gable-end stack. The east gable-end features a small lean-to outshut. The rear of the house has varied fenestration, with ground floor windows only in the first two bays and a small light between them. There is a 20th-century porch added to the fourth bay. Inside, the house contains a spice cupboard and chamfered beams.
