Description

Scaur House is likely a 17th-century house, altered and extended in the 20th century. The house is constructed of painted roughcast walls with a graduated greenslate roof and roughcast chimney stacks. It originally comprised two bays over two storeys, with a single-bay extension to the right, forming an L-shape. A lean-to porch with a 20th-century door has been added. The windows are a mix of sash and casement types, with a Yorkshire sash window above the entrance. All windows are set in plain reveals. The extension also features sash windows in plain reveals. The ground-floor ceiling retains beams. It is listed as part of the group value context with Scaur Cottage.
