Description
This barn, located to the southeast of Bridge End Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century and is positioned at right angles to the slope. It was likely originally designed as a hayloft over a cowhouse, with access through the gable end. The structure features stone rubble walls that include protruding through stones and drips above the openings, as well as stone quoins. The roof is made of graduated green slate. A massive timber lintel spans the cart entrance on the southeast side. The barn is included in the listing partly for its group value with the farmhouse.
