Description

How Green Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century, is constructed of white-washed stone rubble and features a slate roof that extends continuously with that of Parsey House. The building is two storeys high and has a squat round chimney. The entrance includes a modern door, and there are three windows on each floor that vary in size, with a rough slate dripstone extending over the entire ground floor. To the left, a stone rubble barn continues from the farmhouse, and shippons extend forward at a right angle from the left end. Stables are located on the right at the junction with the barn of Parsey House. For group value context, refer to the general group description under Low Hartsop.
