Description
The former brewhouse adjoining the rear of Dalemain is now a private house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of pink sandstone ashlar and features a hipped roof made of graduated greenslate, topped with a central ashlar chimney stack. The building is single storey and consists of two bays, with a lower single-bay extension on the left. The main entrance has 20th-century double doors, and there are oak plank doors along with sash windows on the left and right, all set within stone surrounds. The extension includes a segmental arch that is now partly blocked, with a 20th-century casement window. Additionally, the right return wall has a 20th-century window. This building is listed for its group value with Dalemain.
