Description
This is a road bridge located in Pooley Bridge, part of Barton civil parish, and it dates back to 1764, as indicated by the inscription "JS & IR 1764" on a stone in the parapet. The bridge is constructed from squared blocks of dressed red and calciferous sandstone. It features three segmental arches with recessed voussoirs supported by piers that have splayed cutwaters, which extend upward to create pedestrian refuges. The bridge has a solid parapet with chamfered coping. Part of the structure also lies within Dacre civil parish.
