Description
Haws Bank House and the adjoining cottage is a house dating from the 17th or early 18th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and has a slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with the first bay likely added later. The windows include casements, while the second and fourth bays on the ground floor and the second bay on the first floor feature sashed windows with vertical glazing bars. There are entrances in the first and third bays, with the later entrance having a gabled slate hood. The house has a cross-axial stack and a gable-end stack. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut beneath a cat slide roof, along with a small outhouse also under a cat slide roof. Two windows have small-paned casements, and one features cross mullions. A 20th-century timber lean-to porch is present.
Inside, the property has chamfered beams and a panelled partition wall, with moulded stiles and rails.
