Description
Pool Bank North is a house and outbuilding, likely built in the late 17th century or early 18th century, with later alterations. The structure is made of roughcast stone rubble and features slate roofs. The west elevation has two storeys and three bays, with windows that were enlarged in the 20th century and now have casement designs with dripstones above. There is a central entrance located in a gabled porch, and gable-end stacks are present. The returns of the building have attic lights with wooden-chamfered-mullioned windows that have two lights; the south return features windows with a transom. A gabled wing at the rear displays varied fenestration, including some small-paned glazing and a gable-end stack.
The outbuilding includes two entrances, one with paired doors, and a small window on the west side, along with an outshut beneath a lean-to roof on the east side. Inside, there are chamfered beams, and the remaining plank and muntin partitioning features moulded muntins. Notable interior elements include a round-headed cupboard and a court cupboard set in a recess. The staircase has square newels, turned balusters, and a moulded handrail, along with dog gates. Most doors within the property are designed with two panels.
