Description

This icehouse, located approximately 30 meters north of Brantwood, dates from the possibly 1870s. It features a natural opening in the bank that has been cut through rock, leading to steps that end at a door on the right, which opens into a cylindrical cavity that tapers at both the top and bottom. The top opening is covered by a slab. The structure was built to provide ice for those in need.
