Description
The Bennett chest tomb, dating from 1758, is located approximately 3 metres north of the north-east corner of the north porch to the Church of St Peter in Trentishoe. This chest tomb features a stone rubble plinth topped with a slate slab. It is decorated with incised designs, including a cherub's bust at the head, and an hourglass and skull at the base. The inscription commemorates William Bennett, who died in 1758, and his wife Margaret, who died in 1774, along with accompanying verses.
