Description
The stables on the east side of the yard at Emmett's Grange date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed from random rubble local stone and feature roofs made of asbestos slate. The building has an E-plan layout with a central gabled porch. It is a single-storey structure with square-headed openings in the center and arched heads on the right returns, as well as lit gable ends. The stables are listed primarily for their group value as part of a collection of farm buildings and a foldyard located north of Emmett's Grange.
