Description
Timwood House is a farmhouse built around 1860, originally shown on the OS map as Timwood Farm. The building features a rendered exterior over a rubble base and has hipped slate roofs with overhanging eaves supported by shaped brackets. Brick stacks rise from the eaves, with an additional stone stack located to the right. The layout consists of a double pile with single-storey pavilions flanking it. The house is two storeys high and has three bays, each with 12-pane sash windows. A central porch, which is gabled and rendered with a slate roof, has an arched opening, though the inner door is not visible. The flanking pavilions are single-storey, each with one bay; the right side features a 12-pane sash window, while the left has wooden shutters. The interior has not been viewed, but the presence of the stone stack may suggest that there was an earlier structure on the site.
