Description
This is an unidentified headstone located in the churchyard, about 9 metres southeast of the porch of the Church of All Saints. It dates from the early 17th century and features a square head that is weatherworn and partly sunk into the ground. The headstone has an illegible inscription on its convex center, which is set within a semi-circular headed bay. This bay is adorned with a carved angel's head, supported by Corinthian capitals and flanked by drapery, while the spandrels are decorated with C scrolls. The design is handsome and represents a rare survival from this period in the area.
