Description
The churchyard cross, located in the churchyard 8 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Mary the Virgin, dates back to the 14th century and was restored in the mid-19th century. It is made of limestone and features a square, two-stage calvary with a square socket that has convex broached corners. The shaft is octagonal and tapering, with the upper part renewed and a transom piece forming the cross. The original 14th-century details are largely hidden due to the insensitive restoration in the mid-19th century.
