Description
Hoyles headstone, located approximately 3 metres south of the nave of the Church of St Peter, is a headstone probably from the 18th century. It is made of slate and features a nowy-arched shape with a segmental shouldered head. The headstone has inscriptions on both sides, with a cherub's head decoration on the east face and an urn on the west face. The inscription on the west face commemorates John Hoyles, who died in 1843.
