Description

The direction post at the center of Five Crossroads is an early 19th-century structure. It has a square-section design with a shaped top. On the north-west side, it is carved with the inscription "TO MANATON," while the south-west side reads "TO ASHBURTON." The north-east side indicates "TO BOVEY," and the south-east side shows "TO NEWTON." The letters are highlighted in black paint.
