Milestone. Late 18th century. This is a granite round-headed block featuring lettering and a benchmark. It indicates distances: "From Tavistock 5 Miles, Okehampton 10, Truro 55". It relates to the Turnpike Act of 1760, which established roads leading into Okehampton.
